Paola is a Mexican/Colombian actress based in Los Angeles, she plays Michelle on HBO’s smash hit Ballers starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. You can catch her next in the film Tax Collector staring Shia Labeouf, directed by David Ayer.
Prior to her illustrious entertainment career, Paola fought to support her Latino community. She worked for the Colombian government in the investment department to drive better economic outcomes for her country men and women. Paola brings that same passion as a women empowerment activist, who demands women have sexual and reproductive health and rights, freedom from violence, economic justice, and leadership roles in the entertainment industry.
Paola empowers her audience to be their highest selves. She preaches that wellness incorporates the power of choice and the body is a three-dimensional being. For seven years she has worked on perfecting her craft as an actress, being part of different theater plays and studying different acting techniques such as uta Hagen, Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Chekhov, in Miami and New York, she did that for three years before going to her first audition which was the tv show ballers and she booked it, Here are some of the productions Paola has been part through her career.
Paola main focus is acting and her mission in the world, before acting she did years of modeling with the famous agency Elite models, with the money she made from this experience she paid her acting career and survived in another country by herself, she expresses on her interviews how she overcame the challenges of being the first Latina to work for all this brands and the only Mexican Colombian with elite at that time, where latinas weren’t consider supermodels because of the height and extremely skinny standards, specially for the runways but she stayed persistent and became one of the best paid models of her agency at that time.
Even though modeling it’s not her priority right now, she still does campaigns that go along with her message for the world, and uses her several years of experience.
